My development platform of choice is LAMP:
Linux
Apache
MySQL
PhP
All are free, easy to use, easy to install and easy to code. If
you're going to be accessing a MySQL database from the web, MyPhPAdmin is
a good tool.
Below is a link to an herbal database and interface I wrote several
years and still use. In it you will find herbs, pictures of them
for identification, how to grow them, where to find them, their uses
and how to prepare them. It was one of my first projects and
I hope you find something useful in it.
Remember, you must have Access installed to use
this database.
When you click the link, the download should begin.
If it doesn't, right click the link and chose "Save Target As". Ann's
